Underage Drinking: Intervention Principles and Practice Guidelines for Community Corrections

This guide provides “a set of guiding principles, developed from evidence-based practices, to assist community corrections in responding more effectively to underage drinking offenders. It is imperative for community corrections workers to remain fully informed of the actions they can take to address this issue” (p. 2). Five sections comprise this document: setting the stage—the problem of underage drinking; legal issues related to underage drinking; assumptions and principles for community supervision of underage drinking; context for responding to underage drinking; and practice guidelines for responding to underage drinking offenders.
