Idaho Opioid Misuse and Overdose Strategic Plan 2017-2022

The Governor’s Office of Drug Policy convened a planning group to create a statewide, multistakeholder prescription drug and heroin abuse prevention strategic plan. In April 2017, a broad group of stakeholders met over two days and developed the “Idaho Opioid Misuse and Overdose Strategic Plan, 2017-2022.” Subsequent meetings were held in person and by phone to further refine the goals and strategies. This strategic plan identifies 4 key goal areas that address the epidemic in a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to support the plan’s 2022 vision of “A safe and healthy Idaho, free of opioid misuse and untreated opioid use disorders.”
