Print Materials and Lending Library

The Idaho RADAR Center provides substance misuse and substance use disorder resources to Idaho residents only. The Center, a Boise State University program, is administered by the Institute for the Study of Behavioral Health and Addiction in conjunction with the College of Education & the College of Health Sciences.  RADAR acts as a clearinghouse of print and electronic information from federal partners including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Print materials and videos are also obtained through dedicated grant budget lines.  Because many of these agencies no longer offer print materials, RADAR may need to limit quantities of certain publications due to cost.

A feature of the center patrons find particularly useful is our video and curriculum lending library. Patrons may borrow videos for up to three weeks and curriculum for up to 8 weeks. Local patrons may pick-up and drop-off videos to the center which has an after-hours drop box. For Idahoans who live outside of the Treasure Valley videos will be mailed, however, borrowers must pay the postage to return videos.
