Marijuana Brief Intervention: An SBIRT Approach

Marijuana Brief Intervention guides you in employing evidence-based practices to help youth and adults manage, reduce, or stop their marijuana use. Using a full Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) model, the program can be tailored into a one-session, or six-session format, depending on participants’ needs. Topics include preparing for change, strategies for change, managing withdrawal, problem solving, and relapse prevention.

The included DVD provides an overview on marijuana, showcasing interviews with past marijuana users, treatment professionals, and the author of this program. The CD-ROM contains digital files including a screening tool, referral form, participant workbook and journal, and more.
